Learn and Grow with fresh&easy
All month our fresh&easy HR team has been giving advice on career development, from mentoring to networking and skill development. We think that your career is important, and we want all of our employees to learn and grow during their time at fresh&easy. Here are some of the great ways you can develop as a professional at fresh&easy:
The Options Program
When our employees are ready to take the next step in their career, we’re there for them. Our in-house “Options” program provides 12 to 18 months of training in any of our departments. Team members who become Options trainees work through a customized program designed to teach them key skills in their specific areas of interest so that they can take on a bigger, broader, or different job at fresh&easy.
Tim Mason is the President and Chief Executive Officer of fresh&easy, and he has worked with our parent company Tesco since 1982. He relocated to the U.S. to build fresh&easy from the ground up, and he inspires us all with his creativity and dedication to the company. In 2008 he told CNBC about his vision for fresh&easy: small, neighborhood stores featuring the products people really want at affordable prices. Bringing that vision into reality has been a truly thrilling (and educational) experience for all of us here at fresh&easy.
Grow At Work And Beyond
Fresh&easy encourages its employees to volunteer to support their favorite causes. Volunteering is a great opportunity in every way: you get to learn new skills, meet and learn from new people, and help build and improve your community. We love when employees take the initiative to learn and grow, and we do what we can to make it possible through volunteering.
